Here We Go: Number of Hillary Emails Flagged For Classified Material Swells to 60

This Washington Times report should be totally unsurprising to those who've paid even passing attention to Hillary's burgeoning scandal. Think about it: The FBI investigation into classified data passing through Mrs. Clinton's unsecure private email server was initiated by two Obama administration Inspectors General after they examined a tiny fraction of the emails she belatedly submitted to the State Department. The IG's discovered that four of the 40 messages they audited included classified information,

two of which contained top secret material.  Again, this was based on a random sample of just 40 out of tens of thousands of emails -- and that's not even counting the tens of thousands of additional "non-work related" emails (fact check: false) Hillary's team unilaterally destroyed. Of course the list of problematic content is going to balloon dramatically:

While media coverage has focused on a half-dozen of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal emails containing sensitive intelligence, the total number of her private emails identified by an ongoing State Department review as having contained classified data has ballooned to 60, officials told The Washington Times. That figure is current through the end of July and is likely to grow as officials wade through a total of 30,000 work-related emails that passed through her personal email server, officials said. The process is expected to take months. The 60 emails are among those that have been reviewed and cleared for release under the Freedom of Information Act as part of a open-records lawsuit. Some of the emails have multiple redactions for classified information. Among the first 60 flagged emails, nearly all contained classified secrets at the lowest level of “confidential” and one contained information at the intermediate level of “secret,” officials told the Times.

For her part, Hillary spent the weekend downplaying and joking about the federal investigation into her improper, national security-compromising scheme:

Mrs. Clinton also lashed out at Republicans, accusing them of cooking up a phony scandal, just as they did with Benghazi. Setting the Benghazi conflation and dismissal aside, her 'blame the GOP' approach fails on a very fundamental level:

Right. This matter is serious enough that it was referred to the Obama Justice Department by two Obama Inspectors General. The probe is being run out of FBI headquarters and involves a prosecutor who nailed David Petraeus for improperly handling classified information. Hillary has nowhere to turn, so she's laughing it up, pretending as if nothing is really happening -- and complaining that if something is happening, it's surely Republicans' fault, or something. How are these arrogant and blamestormy arguments playing with the American people?

Not especially well, shockingly:

Ed Morrissey notes that just two percent (!) of respondents in this scientific national survey believe that Hillary Clinton is telling the truth about her emails. I'll leave you with a nonpartisan CNN national security analyst and former CIA operative just laying into Hillary's recklessness, suggesting that her conduct is so irresponsible as to be disqualifying for the presidency:
