Following CA-36 - UPDATE: Hahn Wins

Special election results are trickling in at a snail's pace, and it's past 1am ET, so I'm calling it a night.  Votes are being tabulated HERE.  As it stands, Democrat Janice Hahn leads Republican Craig Huey by eight percentage points with ten percent of precincts reporting.  Slate's Dave Weigel says early indications point to a Hahn win, which was the likeliest outcome from the start.  Barack Obama won this district by 30 points in 2008.  Is a stunning upset still possible?  If not, what will the final margin be, and is that number significant?  We shall see.

UPDATE (7:00am PT):  Southern Californians are waking up to Congresswoman-elect Janice Hahn.  She won by a single-digit spread in a +18 Democrat district, which Dems have run away with in recent cycles.  As they say, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, but the close result explains why some Democrats were spooked as recently as yesterday.
