Boxer/Fiorina Feud: Odds & Ends

A few more quick thoughts on last night's debate:

-The moderator and panel of journalists were biased.  The question selection, number of pointed follow-ups, and even many of the questions' basic premises favored Boxer.  Fiorina--

unlike Hillary Clinton--didn't complain, and generally handled them with aplomb.  In his defense, the moderator at least enforced the pre-determined time limits on answers.

-Towards the end of one rambling answer from Boxer, she sensed she was running out of time, and blurted, "the people of the country and my state have to get the whole picture."  Interesting phrasing.

-While promoting one big government program (I can't recall which one, they're hard to keep track of), Boxer claimed it would save "500 to 1,000 to 1,000,000 jobs."  That was the best laugh of the night.

UPDATE: An astute emailer notes how often the unpopular junior Senator from California referenced her far more popular senior colleague, Dianne Feinstein.  If your ship is sinking, climbing aboard someone else's vessel and hoping no one notices may be your only option.
