Louisiana Addresses Illegal Immigration Hiring

According to NOLA.com, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal gave his blessing to two pieces of legislation today that discourage companies further from hiring illegal immigrants.

The marquee piece of one of the laws is a requirement for contractors that  "want to do business with a state or local public entity" to use "E-Verify," a popular and successful program for helping to determine the legal residency status of potential employees. The other bill makes private companies use the system as well, according to the article.
