On Thank You Tour, Trump Announces Appointment for Manufacturing Council

The theme of President-elect Donald Trump's Thank You tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday was jobs, jobs, jobs. He told the crowd that jobs were coming back to the state, many of which had left thanks to what he termed disastrous trade deals.

"No state has been hurt worse by our trade deals than Michigan," he said. "That's how I knew I was going to win Michigan."

At one point, he announced that Dow Chemical CEO Andrew Liveris will head the American Manufacturing Council.

Liveris, who hails from Australia, joined Trump onstage. He said he may have a "funny accent" but he "bleeds America" and he "bleeds Michigan." He was also enthusiastic to announce that the DOW will be building an operational center in Michigan.
