President Trump Cabinet Predictions

No, it's not too early!

Now that Donald Trump has been elected the 45th president of the United States, the discussion among the punditry turns to who he may appoint to his cabinet. Should he award those who have been most loyal to him throughout his campaign, then we obviously need to look at former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Gov. Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich and Gen. Michael Flynn, and Dr. Ben Carson, all of whom have stood by Trump's side and have come to his defense time and again throughout the past several months.

The Today Show Twitter account surmised Giuliani will eventually assume the role of attorney general, Gingrich will be secretary of state and Flynn will be secretary of defense.

Dr. Carson's name has been floated around for Trump's Health and Human Services Secretary. For Treasury Secretary, Politico predicts Trump will tap Goldman Sachs veteran Steven Mnuchin. Sheriff David Clarke, who is a hero in the conservative movement, may get a phone call to lead Homeland Security.

As for Chris Christie, one would assume Trump will award him a position, but campaign insiders say it's still a big question mark.

With many voters concerned about Trump's "temperament," perhaps his choice in experienced advisors will help to quell their fears.
