Sen. McCain Blames Late-Night Baseball Game For Strange Questioning

In the midst of Thursday's testimony by former FBI Director James Comey for the Senate Intelligence Committee, Twitter had a few questions. Namely: What is going on with Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)?

Sen. McCain seemed confused, at best, during the hearing, and at one point referred to Comey as "President Comey."

In a statement, McCain said that he had seen on Twitter that some people did not understand his questioning, and said that perhaps he shouldn't stay up late watching the Diamondbacks' night games. He then clarified exactly what he was trying to ask Comey.

The Diamondbacks responded with the "shruggy" emoji. They defeated the Padres yesterday by a score of 7-4.
