Golly, This Bernie Sanders Tweet Really Did Not Age Well

In light of recent nothing-burgers from a certain MSNBC host, coupled with the results of a certain presidential election in 2016, it looks as though this Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) tweet may be the worst-aged tweet of all time.

Here it is:

"Not only is Donald Trump going to lose on November 8th, but next year he's going to start paying his fair share of taxes."

As everyone learned on Tuesday night, in 2005, Trump paid a much higher percentage of his income in taxes than Sanders did in 2014. This sure seems like a "fair share" to me.

Sanders probably shouldn't go into the fortune-telling industry after he eventually retires from the Senate.
