Ted Cruz To Speak at RNC

Former GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) will be speaking at the Republican National Convention. In a video tweeted by ABC reporter Katherine Faulders, Cruz confirmed that he had a "positive and productive" meeting with Donald Trump earlier on Thursday and accepted Trump's invitation to speak at the RNC.

Cruz made it clear that he had still not endorsed Trump for president.

Trump launched many attacks on Cruz throughout the campaign, and repeatedly referred to the senator as "lyin' Ted." He also bizarrely tried to link Cruz's father with Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated President John F. Kennedy.

Cruz's announcement that he will be speaking at the RNC comes the day after Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) announced that he would not be attending the convention as previously planned. Rubio will instead be campaigning.
