Anyone who thinks Gingrich has a realistic shot at victory should he become the GOP presidential nominee should check out this ugly story: Gingrich said to be paid $1.6 million by Freddie Mac.

It's more than anyone had really known about up until now (much more than the $300,000 in payment Gingrich was asked about at the debate) -- and Freddie Mac executives dispute Gingrich's innocuous account of his work there.
