And Meanwhile, Overseas . . .

The WSJ's Bret Stephens chronicles the way that President Obama's overseas charm offensive has been working.  The upshot?  Not well.

Our NATO "partners" are no more willing to help Obama out in Afghanistan than they were President Bush.  And new developments in Pakistan, Iran, Russia, and North Korea are cause for real concern.

It should be obvious to anyone who's ever spent time on a playground:  If you want to stay safe, it's nice to be liked, but it's essential to be respected.  So far, there are few signs that anyone either respects or fears President Obama.  And that's not good.

Funny how all the lefties who are ready to impute the most evil intentions to President Bush seem determined to see only goodness in those who are obviously the enemies of the United States and its interests.
