Is This What a "Transformed" US Would Look Like?

After the third debate where John McCain invoked Joe the Plumber to great effect, government computers were used to try to find dirt on Joe.

And this morning, the New York Post reports that

some Obama staffers apparently had second thoughts about committing vote fraud in Ohio:

Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that temporary residents can't vote in the battleground state.

A dozen staffers - including Obama Ohio spokeswoman Olivia Alair and James Cadogan, who recently joined Team Obama - signed a form letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their names from the rolls.

Their consciences sprang into action only after they were warned that they would have been committing a felony.

The fact is that, whatever party is in office, there's always the danger of some abusing their power.  The press actually holds Republicans accountable -- a healthy state of affairs for a democratic republic.

But given everything about Barack Obama (and Democrats) that's been ignored, overlooked or minimized by the press, it seems entirely possible that much more of this kind of activity could (and perhaps would) go "decently unmentioned" in an Obama administration.

I can't wait for the ACLU to take up Joe the Plumber's cause.  Or is "spying" on those in this country a problem only when they're suspected terrorists?
