Congratulations, Barack

According to the AP tally, Barack Obama has clinched the Democratic nomination.  It's surreal to think that, seventeen short years ago, he was working with me back in law school on the law review.  By defeating Hillary Clinton, he's achieved something most pundits would have thought impossible just six short months ago.

No doubt the ensuing campaign will be a spirited and competitive one.  I disagree with just about everything Barack believes, but for this one moment in this one day, it's enough just to say: Congratulations.
