Republican Cindy Hyde-Smith was appointed to fill Sen. Thad Cochran who retired earlier this year. She faced off in a special election against Democratic former Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy.
Multiple sources, including the Associated Press, have called the race in favor of Hyde-Smith.
