Tim McGraw for TN Gov?

The New Republic is trying to start the rumor (no named sources, etc.) and it's getting picked up in the LA Times blog.

Yee-haw!

Before anyone gets too excited, however, I should remind everybody McGraw, and his superstar wife Faith Hill, is a Democrat. The notion of the Indian Outlaw as Governor is sort of an old once. Former President Bill Clinton was pushing the idea McGraw should run to outlets like Esquire magazine in 2006.

McGraw's publicist told Country Music Television McGraw has no comment on these rumors.
