Warner Says Palin is Qualified

I'm on a conference call with Virginia Sen. John Warner, one of the Senate's most respected voices on military affairs, right now.

He was just asked if Sarah Palin was qualified to be VP on foreign policy issues.

Here is his answer:

WARNER: I started by career in the Eisenhower White House in 1960 as a lower ranking person in the press communications office so I've had some experience...when presidents come in they bring the best talent they can find to fill first their cabinet and then national security council...I'm confident Palin will work with McCain building a very strong team and she will rely on that team while perfoming duties as vice president whose duties [as prescribed by the Constitution] are presiding over the US Senate. And she can handle that job without any on the job training."
