Yikes.  Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren claims to have Native American heritage, but refuses to take a DNA test to prove once and for all her heritage.

The Massachusetts Senator was interviewed on today;s episode of NBC's Meet the Press. Host Chuck Todd pointed out a recent Massachusetts' newspaper editorial that called upon the supposed Native American to take a $99 DNA test sample.

But, the Senator refused to say whether she would take the test. No, it is not the price that deterred the wealthy Warren from taking the test, the Senator simply wants to retain her family's folk lore.

"My mother and daddy were born and raised in Oklahoma,” Warren said. “My daddy first saw my mother when they were both teenagers. He fell in love with this tall, quiet girl who played the piano. Head over heels. But his family was bitterly opposed to their relationship because she was part Native American. They eventually eloped.”

“Look, I do know. I know who I am. And never used it for anything. Never got any benefit from it anywhere," Warren said. "But what I did a couple of weeks ago is I went to talk to the leaders of the native tribes across the country."

“And I talked about the fact that President Trump can't seem to hear my name without trying to throw a racial slur into it. Can't seem to make it through a ceremony honoring Native American war heroes without trying to make something else out of it,” she added

President Trump has often called the left-leaning stateswoman "Pocahontas" because she has claimed she is Native American, yet has offered no proof aside from family legend.
