Current Congressman and Senate hopeful Lou Barletta announced today that his campaign will be taking the roads of Pennsylvania in a statewide bus tour, calling the new campaign effort the “Red, White and Lou,” tour.
This campaign push comes just after President Donald Trump visited Pennsylvania to stump for Barletta, in both the Senate-hopeful and his opponent’s hometown. The president emphasized Barletta’s record of toughness on crime and illegal immigration, noting that the Senate needs someone as tough as Barletta to push the Trump agenda.
Barletta sees this most recent effort as a way to connect with voters in all areas of Pennsylvania, and is excited to share his campaign message, per the Times Leader:
“We will be visiting communities all across Pennsylvania, bringing our hopeful message of putting Pennsylvania first and contrasting our message with Bob Casey’s radical obstructionist agenda. I am looking forward to meeting so many Pennsylvanians who share our goal of bringing back jobs, keeping families safe, and taking care of our veterans, law enforcement, and first responders,” Barletta said.
Barletta’s family, including his Golden Retriever, Reilly, will join the Senate-hopeful on the campaign tour, which began today in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. The “Red, White and Lou,” tour is the Barletta campaign’s latest effort in a hard battle to unseat the two-term, incumbent Sen. Bob Casey Jr in November’s midterm elections.
