Trump Derangement Syndrome: Chelsea Handler Actually Sought Therapy After Trump's 2016 Win

Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP, File

Yes, Trump derangement syndrome is real. We’ve all known this for quite some time. Yet, comedian Chelsea Handler, who is unabashedly anti-Trump, actually sought professional help after Trump won the 2016 election. Not only that, but it got her to start smoking marijuana as well. Handler discussed the whole ordeal on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher last week. It’s the epitome of weak, soft, liberal America and their inability to accept the fact that they lost. Also, it embodies everything we think about the Hollywood Left. You guys lost an election; this isn’t the apocalypse. You all need to grow up (via Fox News):

Comedian and activist Chelsea Handler shared Friday that she had to seek out a psychiatrist after Donald Trump's victory in the 2016 presidential election.

Handler explained during an appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher” that she went through a “midlife identity crisis” after Trump shocked the world by defeating Hillary Clinton for the nation's highest office, saying she never felt her life feel “so unhinged.”

[…]

The liberal comedian also spoke about having “white guilt” and how she realized in therapy that she had believed she didn’t have “the right to be in pain” because she hadn't been raped or molested.

[…]

She also said Trump’s election win “led” her to smoking marijuana and pivoting away from alcohol, calling cannabis the “gateway drug to meditation.”

Get a grip, lady. But these sorts of anecdotes are perfect for Maher’s show, as his audience probably underwent similar bouts of insanity. The thing is we could be facing a second wave of nuttiness, as the 2020 Democratic field doesn't have anyone who could defeat Trump.
