MSNBC Reporter Walks Away From GOP Senator When He Mentions Clinton Campaign's Meetings With The Russians

Yesterday, MSNBC was reporting Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) remarks about the newly released emails from Donald Trump Jr. that centered on his June 9, 2016 meeting in Trump Tower with a Russian attorney, Natalia Veselnitskaya, under the pretense that some dirt on Hillary Clinton would be revealed. It’s a bizarre set up. A Russian pop star arranged the meeting using his publicist, who said that the Russian government has some damning information on Clinton, which is part of the Putin regime’s support for his father’s campaign. Trump Jr. accepted the meeting, which was a stupid move since Veselnitskaya knew nothing, didn’t discuss the campaign, and certainly did not talk about Hillary Clinton. It was a waste of time.

Graham said it was odd that such a meeting would occur since this lady knew nothing. On face value, it looks very disconcerting, and that we cannot allow any foreign government to reach out in this way during an election.

“That is a non-starter, he said.”  Graham added that Trump Jr. has to testify before Congress on this matter. He understands that Trump Jr. and his brother-in-law, Jared Kushner, are new to politics, “but this is going to require a lot of questions to be asked and answered.”

In the live video, MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt was standing next to CNN’s Manu Raju picking up Graham’s remarks. Raju asked, “Do you think the White House is being truthful of the version of events that happened and their meetings that occurred between the associates and the Russians?”

Graham said that he’s pretty sure the Trump campaign met with a lot of people, and he’s sure that the Clinton campaign met with the Russians. That’s when Hunt decided to walk away, trying to get a quote from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY). That’s when the live video ended. Is this media bias or Kasie Hunt trying to get a statement from another senator? On face value, it’s unclear.  Then again, it’s hyper progressive MSNBC. Whatever the case, the audio was cut when she decided to pull away once the Clintons were mentioned.

Maybe that’s because, like the Trump campaign, the Clinton team had met with the Russian ambassador. In fact, such meetings happened multiple times. In March, former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook seemed unable to give a straight answer, before saying “the folks that were managing that within the campaign have said that there were none.” That doesn’t appear to be the case. At the end of the day, the Russian ambassador was doing his job; Clinton or Trump could be the next president of the United States. You have to meet with staffs of both campaigns in order to do your job. Noting nefarious or illegal about that, though for the Left it’s devolved into giving them chills.
