Late last week and just in time for Passover, Hamas terrorists in Gaza organized a mass riot of 30,000 Palestinians and demanded they storm the border with Israel.
In preparation for the violence, the Israeli Defense Forces warned terrorists they would be met with lethal force.
The IDF is prepared to respond to the violent riots planned throughout the Gaza Strip. The IDF views with great severity any breach of Israeli sovereignty or damage to the security fence— IDF (@IDFSpokesperson) March 30, 2018
In response to violent riots along the security fence in the Gaza Strip, GOC of the Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir said: "We're identifying attempts to carry out terror attacks under the disguise of riots. We urge Gazans to stay away & warn the Hamas terror organization."— IDF (@IDFSpokesperson) March 30, 2018
A 7 year-old girl was sent across the Gaza Strip border by the Hamas terror organization, where IDF troops identified her. Upon realizing she was a child, IDF troops ensured she returned safely to her parents— IDF (@IDFSpokesperson) March 30, 2018
Update: 17,000 Palestinians are rioting in 5 locations along the Gaza Strip security fence. The rioters are rolling burning tires and hurling firebombs & rocks at the security fence & IDF troops, who are responding w riot dispersal means and firing towards main instigators— IDF (@IDFSpokesperson) March 30, 2018
Hamas predictably used children as shields, which included sending a seven-year-old girl to the border fence as a cover.
IDF soldiers were forced to engage multiple targets in order to protect Israel's sovereignty and to neutralize threats. Seventeen terrorists and rioters were killed after sending gun fire toward Israel troops, throwing rocks, Molotov cocktails, rolling burning tires and more.
Guess whose side Democrat Senator Bernie Sanders is on?
The killing of Palestinian demonstrators by Israeli forces in Gaza is tragic. It is the right of all people to protest for a better future without a violent response.— Bernie Sanders (@SenSanders) March 31, 2018
The former presidential candidate doubled down on his statement during an interview over the weekend.
I'll leave you with this:
“Demonstrators.” Actually, they were Hamas terrorists storming a sovereign border and using kids as shields. Gaza belongs to Hamas, not Israel. You don’t get to “protest,” aka riot, in another country https://t.co/JSZujumt7F— Katie Pavlich (@KatiePavlich) April 1, 2018
