Hillary: I Totally Take Classification Seriously, I Was a Senator

Former Secretary of State and Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held her first press conference in 275 days yesterday on her new campaign plane. Naturally it was Labor Day, when most Americans were enjoying the end of summer with friends and family.

During questioning, Clinton claimed she takes classification of sensitive material very seriously and reminded reporters that she knows how classification works....because she was a Senator.

"I went into the State Department understanding classification. I’ve been on the Senate Armed Services Committee for years before I was Secretary of State. I take classification seriously," Clinton said. "The fact I couldn’t remember certain meetings, whether or not they had occurred, doesn’t in any way affect the treatment I had and still have of classified material."

That's not what she told the FBI.

The FBI report detailing the criminal investigation into Clinton's private emails servers, where she hosted more than 2000 pieces of classified and top secret material, reveals the former Secretary of State "couldn't recall" when she received security clearance or whether she was properly trained about how to handle classified information. Clinton also told investigators she thought "(C)" markings were a way emails were alphabetically organized.
