Democrats Quickly Fundraise Off of Cantor Loss: Stop the Tea Party

In case you missed it last night, Rep. Eric Cantor lost his primary to Professor David Brat in one of the "biggest upsets ever seen." The majority leader has not lost a primary election since 1899.

Naturally, Democrats jumped at the chance to fundraise off of the loss. DNC Communications Director Mo Elleithee sent out an email last night to supporters with the subject line, "Wow. Wow wow wow," painting Brat as a tea party extremist who must be stopped.

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz sent out a similar message on her Twitter page.
