Video: Comedian Slams NYT For Ridiculous Rubio Scoops

If you found the attacks on Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) “irresponsible” driving and spending habits gratuitous, you may find some satisfaction in comedian Jon Stewart’s latest monologue. Wednesday evening on The Daily Show, he skewered The New York Times for its characterization of the Republican presidential contender as a reckless spendthrift, unlearned in the ways of personal financial management. Indeed, he went to great lengths, using both sarcasm and derision, to shame the Times for its breaking news-like coverage of matters of no importance, implicitly pointing out that paying back student loans, splurging on “dream” items, and purchasing a mortgage are things average people do.
