On Friday we learned that the FBI had opened an investigation into President Trump and his connection to Russia following his firing of former FBI Director James Comey in 2017.

After reading the report in the New York Times, President Trump penned a response on Twitter on Saturday. Here's the "funny thing about James Comey," the president explained, before entering into a diatribe about the "real collusion," via Hillary Clinton, that special counsel Robert Mueller should be investigating.

Most top Republicans disagree that the Mueller probe is a "witch hunt" and argue that the special counsel should be allowed to do his job. But, they'd also note that while the investigation has resulted in several indictments of Trump's former campaign aides, none of those charges were directly related to Russian collusion.

Trump sealed it with one more tweet about the FBI.
