Report: North Korea Getting Ready to Attack Guam?

North Korea is reportedly considering an attack on Guam, a Pacific island and U.S. territory that happens to house a U.S. anti-missile system.

A spokesman for the Korean People's Army, in a statement carried by the North's state-run KCNA news agency, said the strike plan will be "put into practice in a multi-current and consecutive way any moment" once leader Kim Jong Un makes a decision. (CNBC)

The report comes just a few hours after President Trump warned Kim Jong Un, with eyes locked onto the camera, that any aggressive move by North Korea would be met with "fire and fury."

The United Nations issued new sanctions against North Korea in the wake of yet another ballistic missile test last week. North Korea vowed to answer "thousands-fold" for the economically damaging rules, which placed a ban on coal and other exports.

North Korea has taken major steps toward becoming a nuclear power, and much sooner than expected, according to a new U.S. intelligence report. In their confidential assessment, intelligence concluded that North Korea now has the ability to miniaturize nuclear weapons to place on missiles.
