Hm: Rouhani Says Iran Is 'Stable and Safe'

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani traveled to the Vatican Monday to meet with Pope Francis, the first meeting between two such leaders since 1999. The two spoke about the supposed joint opportunity to fight terrorism in the wake of the White House’s nuclear agreement with Iran.

Ahead of that trip, the Iranian leader confidently told a group of business leaders that "Iran is the safest and most stable country of the entire region."

One person who would strongly disagree is Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Just last weekend at the World Economic Forum, Netanyahu stressed how dangerous the nuclear agreement will prove to be, for the number of concessions offered to Iran merely paves their way to a nuclear bomb. The concerned Israeli leader said he “hopes” he’s proven wrong on the subject and that Iran turns out to be a peaceful regime. Yet, he expressed his doubts.

Italy's potential anti-terror partner has provided millions of dollars to terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

Should we be nervous by Iran’s sudden chumminess with these nations and are they just being naïve in thinking Iran has had a change of heart?
