Christie Criticizes Hillary's 'Happy Talk' on ISIS

While most of Hillary Clinton’s critics are focused on another one of her farfetched comments about Donald Trump being ISIS’ best recruiter, another of her outrageous comments has been overlooked.

"We now finally are where we need to be," Clinton said at the debate. "We have a strategy and a commitment to go after ISIS. … And we finally have a UN Security Council resolution bringing the world together to go after a political transition in Syria."

We’re “where we need to be” on the world’s growing terror threat? Some of the GOP presidential candidates aren’t letting her statement be swept under the mainstream media’s rug. On ABC’s “This Week,” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Clinton should be ashamed of her overly optimistic perspective on the terrorism pervading the country.

"With dead bodies in Paris, dead bodies in San Bernardino and no plan from this administration to deal with it, we’re finally where we need to be?" he asked. "Mrs. Clinton is 'Mrs. Happy Talk,' and she just wants to happy talk her way to the presidency."

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) had a similar response:

"And she's talking about how we have a plan. What exactly is — how is that plan any different than what we had in place a month ago or two months ago when the president was claiming that ISIS was contained and then a few days later they attacked Paris and less than a month later they attacked San Bernardino or at least had a terrorist attack in San Bernardino?"

Kudos to these Republican leaders for challenging our former secretary of state. We don’t need another president who is dangerously naïve about our national security. Nine hours before ISIS unleashed hell in Paris, President Obama confidently said the terror group had been “contained.” God forbid we elect another commander-in-chief who minimizes this evil.
