Landrieu Tries to Shame Cassidy for Being Absent During Hurricane Katrina, Ends Up Embarrassing Herself

I guess when the DSCC decides to abandon you, you start to get a little desperate. Louisiana Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu introduced a new website called wherewasbill.com and has been tweeting a barrage of strange attacks against her GOP challenger Bill Cassidy after she failed to get over 50 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s statewide election, meaning the Pelican State’s next senator will be named in a December runoff. Perhaps the most bizarre tweet from Landrieu’s account, was the one where she claimed Cassidy was nowhere to be found for Louisianans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Interesting charge. Fortunately, Cassidy had a response:

Maybe if Landrieu’s social media team had called Cassidy’s office or done a quick Google search, they’d have thought differently of posting such a misleading message.

Again, it appears to be an act of desperation in a race in which Cassidy has all the momentum. Come December, the Landrieu dynasty in Louisiana may finally come to an end.
