Mike Pence Describes New Strategy To Solve North Korean Nuclear Issue

Vice President Mike Pence told CNN's Dana Bash that the Trump Administration would be changing policy on North Korea an in effort to resolve the conflict in the area. Pence said that the previous administration's "strategic patience" policy had failed and would thus be abandoned. Now, the Trump Administration plans on working with China in order to de-escalate the situation.

Pence spoke with Bash during a surprise visit to the DMZ.

"We're going to abandon the failed policy of strategic patience. But we're going to redouble our efforts to bring diplomatic and economic pressure to bear on North Korea. Our hope is that we can resolve this issue peaceably," Pence said in an exclusive interview at the DMZ.
