Riots continued in Milwaukee for a second straight night following the death of 23-year-old Sylville K. Smith, who was shot by a police officer after refusing to drop his firearm. On Saturday night, rioters destroyed a gas station and several cars.

What started off as a march on Sunday eventually became a crowd of people blocking the intersection. There were numerous reports of gunshots. Bricks and other projectiles were also thrown by the crowd towards police officers.

Earlier in the day, members of Smith's family condemned the riots.
