South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R), who delivered the Republican response to the State of the Union address last night, was candid on CNN on Wednesday when she spoke about the backlash she's received from some parts of the GOP.
First, Haley criticized Jeb Bush for his support of Common Core, and then made the internet's jaw collectively drop when she said "Marco Rubio believes in amnesty, which I don't."
Needless to say, some people were pretty shocked that Haley actually used the word "amnesty." While some were calling her comments a gaffe, others thought it could have been a strategic move to distance herself from Rubio.

So how soon before the clip of Nikki Haley saying "Marco Rubio supports amnesty" hits the SC airwaves? https://t.co/fZTV0gfZag— Sabrina Siddiqui (@SabrinaSiddiqui) January 13, 2016
@SabrinaSiddiqui There goes the possibility of Haley endorsing Rubio. Disappointed she would make that statement— Matthew Goldfuss (@Too_Much_Reason) January 13, 2016
