BREAKING: CNN, Jim Acosta Drop Lawsuit Against Trump Administration. Here's Why.

CNN and their Senior White House Correspondent, Jim Acosta, have dropped their lawsuit against the Trump administration over Acosta's once revoked hard press pass. The White House restored Acosta's hard pass, which is what the lawsuit hoped to accomplish.

"Having received a formal reply from your counsel to our letter of November 16, we have made a final determination in this process: your hard pass is restored," the White House said in a new letter to Acosta. "Should you refuse to follow these rules in the future, we will take action in accordance with the rules set forth above. The President is aware of this decision and concurs."

The news outlet took to Twitter to make the public aware of the news, saying the lawsuit was dropped.

The notice comes after an emergency hearing early Monday after the White House decided to revoke Acosta's press pass once his 14-day restraining order expired.

"The White House is continuing to violate the First and 5th Amendments of the Constitution. These actions threaten all journalists and news organizations. Jim Acosta and CNN will continue to report the news about the White House and the President," the network released in a statement Monday morning.

They decided to make a determination on the status of Acosta's press pass by 3 p.m., at which time they decided to restore his permanent access to the White House.
