That which is rewarded is repeated.
This axiom is why, in part, the United States doesn't make concessions to terrorists. Doing so encourages them to take more hostages because it signals they'll get at least some of what they want.
The same thing applies on a much smaller scale to the terrorist Left, who increasingly see political violence as a legitimate means to an end. This includes Democrat politicians who, after the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, justified Luigi Mangione by saying, "Gee, denying insurance claims is kind of violence, too, ya know."
Excuse me?
I've written about this before, but let's ponder that mentality again for a moment. If you do a job the Left doesn't like, they believe they are justified in murdering you. They've already made it clear that if you say things they don't like, you deserve to die as well. The anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination was a stark reminder of that.
But instead of addressing the fetid leftist ideology that tries to justify shooting a husband and father in the back on a Manhattan street, leftists want the victims and targets of their violence to think about changing their behavior. Comedian Bill Burr is one of them.

That's the exact same mentality here.
Right. They're the CEO of a business. A legal business that happens to do things the Left doesn't like. Not illegal or immoral things. Just business decisions.
And for that, the Left wants to be judge, jury, and executioner.
It's not just CEOs, either. This week we all saw the insane story in The Boston Globe about the lesbian bar in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It finally relaxed its masking rules at the end of August, and all the lefties in the town absolutely lost their minds. Seriously, go read about it because it is the craziest thing you'll read this year.
It is 2026, dear readers, and this bar was requiring a well-fitting KN-95 mask or better at all times. The town hasn't seen a COVID case in months, but these loons were still acting like it was March 2020.
The owner of the bar was accused of being an "ableist" and an "eugenicist." People wanted the bar to be firebombed. The owner apologized, which only made the outrage mob angrier because the image wasn't captioned for people who are visually impaired.
The bar began as a venture by three women. Only one remains. For her work, her credit score is trashed; she was living in her vehicle, worked four jobs to keep the bar afloat, and she's paying back the $50,000 business loan by herself. One of her former business partners ended up going to clown school, and if that's not the perfect metaphor for leftism, I don't know what is.
The critics, of course, didn't mean any of her struggles with sympathy.
The overarching lesson here in both of these stories is simple: you don't give concessions to terrorists of any stripe. Not to the Islamists. Not to the thugs like Luigi Mangione, and not to the mask-wearing nutters accusing you of genocide. An apology is a sign of weakness, the bloody chum in the sea full of hungry sharks. It will not appease them. It won't end their insanity. It will only encourage them to continue behaving badly.
The only way – the only way — to deal with them all is to tell them to go pound sand.
