Julia Roberts is disappointed in fellow actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman for being two of the dozens of parents (to be caught) bribing school administrators to try and manufacture their children's academic achievements.
“That to me is so sad, because I feel, from an outsider, that it says a little bit, ‘I don’t have enough faith in you,’” Roberts recently told Entertainment Tonight Canada.
Roberts recognizes that she and her husband obviously "have advantages" that they didn't have as children, but she wants to make sure they don't make life too easy for their kids."I don't want them to have the struggles I had," she said. "But at the same time you do need to be able to make your bed, and how to do your laundry, and how to be able to make one meal. These are important life skills. They have to run their own race, they have to have their own experience."
Another celebrity parent, Rob Lowe, would have to agree. Last week he commended his son John Owen Lowe after he tweeted about all the hard work he put in for his education.
I studied for MONTHS for the SAT. Twice, sometimes three times a week. Tons of practice tests. Ended up taking the SAT multiple times as well. College apps were no joke... the amount of stress kids put into that to potentially lose a spot to someone unfairly is horrible.

Lowe replied that he was "very proud" of his "honest, hardworking sons."
Loughlin's crime was particularly shocking. She and her husband shelled out $500,000 to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California, by having them pose as recruits for the school's crew team. Huffman paid $15,000 to get her daughter help with her college entrance exams.
Some celebrities used humor to address the cheating scandal. Selma Blair, for instance, mocked Loughlin by dressing up her son to make it look as though he too is part of a crew team.
"Totally stoked to have just finished Arthur's college #admissions papers," she wrote in an Instagram post, which now appears to have been removed. "#gocrew #coxswain . I totally stole this from @ehastrof, and I am so giggly. And also, doesn't Arthur look like #marykateolsen .I always see it. #teamplayer #collegeboy #varsity #totally #happysaintpatricksday ?? #leprechaun dream team."
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen also had some fun with the scandal.

Loughlin has lost all her jobs with the Hallmark Channel and her "Fuller House" character Aunt Becky was written off the fifth season. To make matters worse, she, Huffman and several others who were caught cheating have been hit with a $500 billion lawsuit by a seriously ticked off mother.
