Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have given up their memberships at an exclusive Bel-Air Country Club after controversy emerged due to their recent plea.
The couple changed their plea from not guilty to guilty on May 22, after negotiating a deal that will result in each serving prison time.
The Full House actress and her fashion designer husband have been entangled in the high-profile scandal after they were accused of paying $500,000 to Rick Singer and Key Worldwide Foundation to falsely display their daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli, 20, and Isabella Rose Giannulli, 21, as rowing recruits to the University of Southern California crew team. It was quickly discovered that neither daughter had ever participated in the sport.
Given that the two now faced prison, the club's board of directors unanimously voted to suspend the famous couple until they finished serving their time.
Several club members reportedly weren't happy that the two could still involved with the club at any point in time, which then caused Loughlin and Giannulli to make the decision to resign as an effort avoid more scrutiny.

"The club has been an important part of their social life for a long time,” an insider told People. “They didn’t want to resign, but also felt they didn’t want to be a part of drama and hostility."
“They were upset about it, but felt like they had no choice,” the insider added. “They didn’t feel welcomed."
Loughlin is expected to serve two months in jail, pay a $150,000 fine, and complete two years of supervised release with 100 hours of community service. Giannulli is expected to serve five months in prison, pay a $250,000 fine, and complete two years of supervised release with 250 hours of community service.
The couple’s sentencing has been scheduled for Aug. 21.
