Even if President Obama had offered a cure for cancer as part of a debt-ceiling increase deal, Republicans would have rejected the deal, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) said.

"If President Obama came in with a cure for cancer they would have turned that down, too," Maloney said according to the New York Daily News.
