Confucius and the Tiger

Confucius was walking through the countryside one day with some of his students.  They saw an old woman weeping.  Confucius stopped and asked her what was wrong.  “My father, husband, and son have all been killed by tigers,” she replied.  Confucius asked, “Why do you stay in such a dangerous place?”  “There is no oppressive government here,” the woman answered.

Confucius and his students walked on.  “Remember that,” the wise one said to his disciples.  “Oppressive government is fiercer than a tiger.”

They obviously didn’t learn that lesson very well in China, which has one of the most despotic governments in world history.  If the people do what they are told to do—or, perhaps more accurately—as long as they do what they are allowed to do (which, in effect, amounts to the same thing), then the people in cities can live a decent existence.  (It’s not relatively so easy for the 600,000,000 in the countryside who are trying to survive on about $140 a month.)  But the old saying “ignorance is bliss” applies in China.  That government is all they know.  It’s all they’ve ever known, Confucius, to the contrary notwithstanding.  They think they are “free” because their government “allows” them to do certain things.

That is precisely what the Democratic Party wants to give Americans.  A government that “gives” you your rights “allows” you to do only what they will permit you to do.  But that isn’t freedom.  Being told by the government what kind of car you must drive or what kind of food you can eat is not “freedom.”  It’s slavery.  But, tragically, the American people aren’t being taught freedom anymore—except the “freedom” to be as immoral and depraved as they want to be, which is nothing more than slavery to personal wantonness—and like the Chinese people, too many Americans have no real clue what “freedom” actually consists of.  As every genuinely great political philosopher and moral teacher in history taught, there can be no freedom, personally or collectively, if there is no virtue in the people.  “To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people is a chimerical [fanciful] idea” (James Madison).  Being a slave to lust and licentiousness, or any vice, is not freedom.  But the Democratic Party wants Americans to believe that it is.  Because a degenerate, decadent society will need an oppressive government to control it.

But, an oppressive government is more to be feared than a tiger.  If only Confucius could have lived to see Mao Zedong.  Or Joe Biden.

I don’t know what is happening in China with this new “child pneumonia” thing.  I’ve heard from one Chinese source that it’s really not a big deal.  But there appears to be evidence that it is spreading, as the following headlines indicate:

“Mystery wave of child pneumonia hits America; Ohio hotspot;”

“Breakout in MA;”

“Denmark sees surge in ‘white lung syndrome’;”

“Expert warns Europe to prepare for worst;”

“Taiwan urges citizens to avoid travel to China;”

“Hazmat-Suits return;”

“Worrying similarities to how Covid started.”

Frankly, I don’t know; I’m no expert on infectious diseases, so I cannot say what is happening in any shape, form, or fashion.  Are we headed for another Chinese virus outbreak?  We all certainly hope and pray that this will not occur.

I don’t know about any new virus, but I do know a little about communism and the history of the Chinese Communist Party.  They have had, and still have, absolutely no qualms about killing as many people on Earth as they deem necessary to accomplish whatever goals they wish to accomplish.  That happens when you have absolutely no moral code beyond “the end justifies the means” when you have no God but yourself.  Whatever is good for the CCP is exactly what the CCP will do, and it will be the CCP, and only the CCP, that decides what is good for the CCP.  That is, until the world finally gets tired of this mass murdering horde of thugs and puts an end to it.  But that isn’t going to happen anytime soon.  Communism will collapse under its own weight before the world puts up a united front against it.  We live in an age of emasculated wimps, gutless sovereign, and salivating, godless politicians who actually crave the kind of power Xi Jinping and the CCP has in China.  Joe Biden is number one on that list.

The CCP has helped, of course, or at least, some people and organizations exist with the same vision—the depopulation of the earth (if necessary) for their own personal, megalomaniacal gain.  The WEF, Bill Gates, and, from all appearances, the Democratic Party in America fit this description, though I would like to believe Democrats aren’t that evil.  However, their current record, given their total dedication to abortion, child mutilation, and coercion of their political enemies, isn’t encouraging.  It is following the exact same path that the CCP and other Leftist organizations pursued over the past 200 years.  “The end justifies the means.”  If that doesn’t define the current morality of the Democratic Party, then no words do.

A few weeks ago, a Chinese academic was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison after calling the Wuhan virus a “CCP virus.”  He was absolutely correct, of course, but he would have been safer meeting a tiger.

Many Americans near the Capitol on January 6, 2021, would have been better off meeting a tiger than the oppressive Biden DOJ.  Donald Trump certainly must feel that way.  I suspect Derek Chauvin also shares the same opinion.

It is better to meet a tiger than live under an oppressive government.  At least you might die more quickly.
