This week, Democrats, led by President Joe Biden and their allies in the media, continued their false, smear-filled and ongoing attacks on law enforcement.

The lie started on Twitter when Democrat operative Sawyer Hackett accused Border Patrol agents of "whipping" illegal Haitians who were refusing orders and attempting to cross into the U.S.

"Border patrol is mounted on horseback rounding up Haitian refugees with whips. This is unfathomable cruelty towards people fleeing disaster and political ruin. The administration must stop this," Hackett tweeted.

The so-called whips were actually reins, a standard tool used to control horses. The photos, which Hackett posted, clearly show they are reins, and video shows they were never used by any agent to hit illegal immigrants.

But the damage was done. "Verified journalists" shared the images, and the whip hoax was off to the races. The truth didn't have a chance.

After initially confirming the agents aren't issued whips, Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas got onboard with the obviously false narrative and said he was "disturbed" by the situation.

From the White House briefing room, Press Secretary Jen Psaki admitted she didn't know the context behind the photos but condemned the agents anyway. Vice President Kamala Harris quickly called for a witch hunt investigation and discipline. Of course, not for illegal immigrants violating U.S. sovereignty, but for the agents who were doing their jobs.

Later in the week, things got worse when the administration pulled horses from Del Rio, eliminating a key tool agents need to fight the onslaught. After weeks of hiding from the press, Biden opened the floor to questions and lied to the American people.

"It was horrible what, to see, as you saw, to see people treated like they did, horses running them over and people being strapped. It's outrageous," Biden said. "I promise you, those people will pay. They will be, an investigation is underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences. It's an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment, it's dangerous; it's wrong. It sends the wrong message around the world. It sends the wrong message at home."

Biden made the statement even after the photojournalist who took the photos in question confirmed the agents never acted in such a way.

"I've never seen them whip anyone," photojournalist Paul Ratje told KTSM.

From the biggest platform in the world, Biden falsely accused agents of doing something they never did. No harsh words for the lawbreakers, only those attempting to manage the catastrophe Biden created.

"How can President Biden continue with this false narrative when the photographer who took the photos of the horse patrol unit has already said nobody was whipped? What happened to due process?" Border Patrol Local 2366 President Jon Anfinsen told Townhall reporter Julio Rosas.

So, who benefits from this? Criminal illegal immigrants and human traffickers. Who suffers? Law enforcement and American communities on the border and around the country. Biden made a choice to side with them over those sworn to protect the country and who put their lives on the line every day.

In the worst kind of scapegoating, the commander-in-chief is blaming Border Patrol agents doing the tough, dirty work on the ground for his failures and creation of a disastrous crisis never seen before. He should be ashamed.
