"In the wake of the disrespectful, unacceptable and meddling statements made by President Donald Trump in his address to the U.N. General Assembly at a time when the U.S.-Cuba Bilateral Commission was sitting in session, the Cuban delegation voiced a strong protest," the (Cuban) Foreign Ministry statement said.
The Castro Dynasty’s eunuch ambassador to the U.S. Jose Cabanas also went on social media to whimper that the “U.S. government presents dangers and inevitable dilemmas” and that the U.S. was acting aggressively and said the trade embargo burdens Cuba with “humanitarian and economic hardships” that are “extraordinary and growing.”
And what did President Trump’s “disrespectful, unacceptable and meddling statements” actually consist of?
“… in the Western Hemisphere, the United States has stood against the corrupt, destabilizing regime in Cuba and embraced the enduring dream of the Cuban people to live in freedom. ... My administration recently announced that we will not lift sanctions on the Cuban government until it makes fundamental reforms.”
President Trump also unloaded on Castro’s colony of Venezuela. "The problem with Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented… from the Soviet Union to Cuba to Venezuela, wherever true socialism or communism has been adopted, it has delivered anguish and devastation and failure."

(BTW, that line about socialism sure sounds familiar!)
Say a looted businessman in St Louis identified some of the scumbags who ransacked and pillaged his hard-earned little business. Say he then declines to extend these scumbags credit to buy at his rebuilt store.
Is this businessman placing a “cruel embargo!” on the scumbag? Does this businessman strike you as a “VICOUS, HATE-MONGERING, KNUCKLE-DRAGGING REACTIONARY HARD-LINER!” Or does he strike you as eminently reasonable—in fact, as a bit TOO forgiving and generous? He should have punished them much more severely.
Well, think of that looted businessman as the U.S. and of the Castro regime as the scumbag looters.
You see, amigos: You’d never guess this from the Cuba “reporting” by the Fake News Media but the reason for the Cuba embargo in the first place was Castro’s mass theft, at Soviet gunpoint, of almost 6,000 businesses in Cuba worth $8 billion (in current dollars) from U.S. citizens. A few American business owners who resisted were tortured and murdered.
One of these was Howard Anderson who owned a filling station and Jeep dealership (not a casino or brothel, which were relatively rare in pre-Castro Cuba, by the way). I’ll quote from Anderson v. Republic of Cuba, No. 01-28628 (Miami-Dade Circuit Court, April 13, 2003). “In one final session of torture, Castro’s agents drained Howard Anderson’s body of blood before sending him to his death at the firing squad.”
The Inter-American Law Review classifies Castro’s mass burglary of U.S. property as “the largest uncompensated taking of American property by a foreign government in history.” Rubbing his hands and snickering in triumphant glee, Castro boasted at maximum volume to the entire world that he was freeing Cuba from “Yankee economic slavery!” (Che Guevara’s term, actually) and that “he would never repay a penny!”
In fact, in stressing that (portions of) the Cuba embargo will remain firmly in place, President Trump is simply upholding U.S. law. Let’s turn to a section of the Cuba “embargo” (Helms-Burton Act) as codified into U.S. law. Here’s Sec. 207, Settlement of Outstanding U.S. Claims to Confiscated Property in Cuba:
“The satisfactory resolution of property claims by a Cuban Government recognized by the United States remains an essential condition for the full resumption of economic and diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba.”
But Castro’s apparatchiks laughed in the faces of Obama’s 'negotiators' when they meekly tried broaching this “essential condition.” No matter. Obama opened the Cuban embassy (spy center) in Washington D.C. anyway.
Comes the teleprompted retort from Castro’s agents: “But we trade with Communist China, for crying out loud! So why not with Cuba?”
First off, China’s (admittedly despicable regime) allows a genuine private sector, pays its bills and has lots of goods Americans want—even need. An American can do business with a Chinese businessman not directly affiliated with the Chinese government, whereas Cuba’s constitution outlaws private property. Every business transaction and tourist expenditure in Cuba enriches the communist regime. The proof and verdict on this item have been in for years, for anyone who bothers to look.
Oh… and on top of the above, in 1979 China settled up with the U.S. government on the property they stole from American citizens in 1949.
Have any of you anti-embargo knee-jerkers (i.e., Castro agents) bothered to research this crucial difference between China-trade and Cuba-trade? Didn’t think so. I didn’t think your Castroite handlers had clued you in on this fascinating little detail. So here, I’ll make it easy for you.
In fact, few better testimonials to human stupidity exist than the number of people who actually believe the KGB-Castro hatched, Fake News Media-spread, and libertarian-parroted meme that: “the embargo is Castro’s best friend—because it provides him a handy excuse to blame all of Cuba’s problems on the U.S.…blah…blah…blah.”
First off, if Castro “secretly favors the embargo,” then why did every one of his secret agents campaign secretly and obsessively AGAINST the U.S. embargo while working as secret agents?
Castro managed the deepest and most damaging penetration of the U.S. Department of Defense in recent U.S. history. The spy’s name is Ana Belen Montes, known as "Castro’s Queen Jewel" in the intelligence community. In 2002 she was convicted of the same crimes as Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, and today she serves a 25-year sentence in Federal prison. Only a plea bargain spared her from sizzling in the electric chair like the Rosenberg’s.
Prior to her visit from the FBI and handcuffing, Ana Belen Montes worked tirelessly to influence U.S. foreign policy AGAINST the embargo. The same holds for more recently arrested, convicted and incarcerated Cuban spies Carlos and Elsa Alvarez and Kendall and Gwendolyn Myers. All of these worked tirelessly to influence U.S. policy AGAINST the "embargo"-- while working as secret agents.
