Straight out of a Saturday Night Live skit starring Jon Lovitz as Tommy Flanagan, the nation’s chief prevaricator Barack Obama once again stares into the TV camera and tells another whopper to the American people.
Implying that he’s the closest thing to someone who’s Jewish to occupy the White House cannot be viewed as anything other than either a bald faced lie, or the ramblings of someone who is truly dangerously delusional. Either answer is indeed a very scary proposition for the American people.
Skip over to the circus at Foggy Bottom and State Department spokesperson Marie Harf, the gift that keeps on giving, claims that the United States air attacks against ISIS have resulted in ten thousand dead jihadists. Yet when pressed by reporters Ms. Harf declines to provide how they came to those figures, other than to claim “a variety of methods” were used.
And then there’s Hillary Clinton, rivaled only by her husband when it comes to straining credulity with her exceedingly rare and duplicitous answers to questions about Benghazi, her private e-mail server, and the Clinton Foundation. The list of Hillary’s canards is literally endless.
Back during her Speakership Nancy Pelosi denied knowing anything about the CIA’s ‘Enhanced Interrogation Techniques’ program, the same ones she was personally briefed about by the CIA. Either she slept through a very important briefing, or she is absolutely clueless. Both also frightening to consider for someone who held such a high government office.
Harry Reid stands before reporters prior to the 2012 elections and tells everyone that an anonymous source has told him that Mitt Romney had not paid any taxes for ten years. When pressed old Harry sticks to his guns. That is until after announcing his retirement this year when his response to questions about his previous Romney tax assertions is “Romney lost didn’t he.”
When Bill Clinton, rivaled only by his wife Hillary in dishonesty, is put on the spot about all the millions he has made giving speeches the former president doesn’t miss a beat and with a straight face replies, “I have to pay the bills.” Even though he and Hillary are worth well over one hundred million dollars. Nearly as bad as when Hillary claimed to be “dead broke” when she and Bill left the White House, which everyone knew when she said it that it was a false statement.
Watching the Democrat Party for the last couple of decades has been like watching the Saturday Night Live skit with Jon Lovitz playing Tommy Flanagan on a loop, lying over and over and over and over again.
One could also equate it to another Saturday Night Live alumnus Bill Murray’s movie ‘Groundhog Day.’ The same old story being repeated continuously every day to the American people. With the exception that in Bill Murray’s movie his character actually was transformed into a good and decent person. Something that hasn’t happened to both of the Clintons, and is not likely to either.
While politicians of every stripe have been known to stretch the truth on occasion, the Democrat Party of today has taken deceit and dishonesty to a new level. Apparently they truly believe that Americans are just too damn stupid to known any better.
As Tommy would say, “Yeah, that’s the ticket.”
