On AC:360, Anderson Cooper was covering the visit of President Trump to the Teddy Roosevelt Presidential Library, and using that as an intro into the general mood in the country surrounding the 250th anniversary this weekend.
He had Scott Jennings on to discuss things, and Cooper was basically dismayed to hear that, as Jennings put it, there is a “patriotism gap”. Jennings was referring to the very blatant examples of Democrats and pundits denigrating the country under the Trump administration.

“I don’t hear a lot of hate of the country from Democrats,” says Cooper, either operating in abject denial, or showing he is completely oblivious. Not only have there been polls routinely showing Democrats with diminished pride in the U.S., but those polls have also been featured repeatedly on…CNN.

Serving as the primary piece of evidence of this patriotism gap, we unsurprisingly have this example served up by the perpetually dyspeptic Eddie Glaude.
