Replicating who you’ve been mocking is certainly a look.
So, just how desperate are things at the distant third-place CNN? Over the past week, the network trotted out some new-look attempts on its programs, and the results were…well, we’ll be charitable and simply say the results were “mixed.”
On Anderson Cooper’s show, they had a distinct new look, where large microphones were visible on the desk, and the host was in a more casual appearance, with his jacket dispatched and sleeves rolled up.

Also going with a more, er, personable appearance was Jake Tapper, who was hosting his show from his actual office. The cluttered desk and walls adorned with posters from failed candidates in elections were an odd, distancing effect for viewers.
The humor is that the network has long taken a dismissive approach toward podcasters as not being valid journalism sources, yet here they are looking to convey the look and feel of that very format. It managed to feel like your parents joining in on the hip, new platform format.

Recently, we covered Scott MacFarlane's announcement of his departure from CBS News. He got out just ahead of the latest purge at the network, and now, just over a week later, he has landed at a new home.
Speaking of denigrating alternative media, this becomes another example that those in the press are really expressing disdain for anything approaching center-right outlets, as he has taken to social media today to state he has connected with the hyper-left-wing outlet, MeidasTouch.
To underscore the leftist entrenchment there, this was a source originally established as an anti-Trump PAC during his first term, and has been a reliably hyper-liberal and deeply questionable news source. This move essentially cements the fact that the January 6 obsessive MacFarlane has long been a leftist dressed in journo clothing.

Telling, when we do not hear of the politics of others in the entertainment business.
Last week, many were moved to learn that Chuck Norris passed away. Across the spectrum, people were rather moved at this news, with the exception being Willian Earl, who eulogized the action star in a despicable fashion. Mr. Earl felt the need to bring up the detail that Norris had some conservative leanings, and, given that the writer disagreed with those viewpoints, he had to insist that this would taint the legend's memory.
What is notable is that whenever an entertainer passes who held left-leaning positions, this is never considered problematic or something that will cloud their memory.

Another case where more details on the man would have been helpful.
The bleating news of late has been the case of another illegal alien who murdered a young woman, after being free when he had initially been detained for illegally coming into the country during the Biden years.
He took the life of an 18-year-old co-ed from Loyola University, yet despite being an illegal from Venezuela, the Chicago Tribune was describing the murderer as a “Rogers Park man.”

When it comes to the SAVE America Act, the primary approach from Democrats, and many in the press, has been that the general public is too stupid to obtain any needed documents to retain their right to vote. Well, on Morning Joe, they brought on Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and took things to a new level.
The host and the senator were there on camera, declaring THEY were incapable of getting the needed documents.
We can only hope this is true, because if they are all this incompetent, then maybe voting is not something they should be engaged in.

DNC PR Firm – POLITICO
Putting more faith in cowardly politicians than the general public.
On the subject, the D.C. outlet was doing the work on behalf of the Democrats, who oppose the passage of the SAVE America Act, by going on the offensive against Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT).
Politico leads with the claim that Lee is on a “MAGA offensive” and that he is pushing this legislation to boost his own stature and is distancing himself from other Republicans as a result.
This is based on the words of anonymous politicians, and it means Politico can conveniently bypass how polls show 75 percent of Americans support this legislation.
