Democratic Custodial Services – MSNBC
The families of fallen soldiers were preempted by the Democratic Joke Hour?
Recall during the Democratic convention in 2016 when a Gold Star father took the stage and excoriated Donald Trump? Khazir Khan was heralded in the press for weeks on end, frequently mentioned when convenient and even securing a book deal. It was said to be a poignant and deeply important moment in politics.
Last night at the Republican National Convention, the Gold Star family members of the soldiers killed at the Abbey Gate bombing during the fiasco evacuation in Afghanistan spoke, and it was a deeply moving moment.
Unless you were watching on MSNBC. Clearly sensing how disastrous this imagery would be for Joe Biden, the network cut away from its convention coverage at that very moment in order for Rachel Maddow to have a yuckfest segment, howling with DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison.
MSDNC cut away from the RNC convention just as Gold Star families of the 13 heroes killed in Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal were speaking of Biden's abject failure to lead.

It is a real mystery why black voters are moving to the right…
Joe Biden sat for a face-saving interview on BET, and it was a mess of a pandering exercise. He touted visiting “a black home” and struggled to include his appointment of Ketanji Brown Jackson, and then went seriously awry. He tried to include his Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, but stumbled and then just referred to him as a “black man.”
Now just try to imagine the volume heard from the press had this been a Republican to utter these malaprops. But the press is, of course, roundly silent over this interview disaster. It stands as another example of Biden’s decline, but it cannot be chalked up as another “cheap fake” generated by conservative media.

Presentation Paradox – WASHINGTON POST
A brief history of WaPo columnist Max Boot:
He began as a Republican foreign policy expert before segueing to journalism. In 2016, he fell in with the Never Trump crowd, and in the ensuing time, he relegated himself to being a forgotten figure due to essentially rewriting the same column repeatedly that declared his opposition to Trump.
One of his numerous demonizing-Donald-discourses was five years ago, where he drew up a series of forced examples that might prove the man is a foreign asset on behalf of Russia. We bring up this particular column because the news broke about the arrest of Sue Mi Terry, a CIA analyst working with the Council of Foreign Relations. She is charged with accepting goods and bribes from South Korean officials as she was working on behalf of that nation’s interests. In other words, she was working as a foreign asset.
She is also the wife of Max Boot, and is believed to have helped him write several columns that lobbied for support of South Korea.

Race to the Bottom – MSNBC
We suppose this becomes an example of the racist nature of grave sites…
At the Republican National Convention, Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance gave a stirring speech, and in a portion, mentioned his desire to see he and his wife buried on family burial grounds in Eastern Kentucky where seven generations of his family are interred. This may come as a surprise to many, but this was a striking example of white supremacy!
How is that, exactly? Well…we do not really know, but according to deeply intelligent news pundit Alex Wagner this is the case.
It reveals someone who believes that the history that the family should inherit, and indeed, the history that should be determinative in the story of the Vance family, is the history of the eastern Kentucky Vances, and not the Vances from San Diego, which is where his wife is from and from where her Indian parents are from. But in America, it doesn't have to be the white male lineage that defines the family history, that that branch of the tree supersedes all else. And I just think the construction of this notion reveals a lot about someone who fundamentally believes in the supremacy of whiteness and masculinity.
Just…what the hell?!

DNC PR Firm – MSNBC
To quote Van Jones, a bullet couldn’t stop Trump, but a virus stopped Biden.
Desperation is such a clonw show look on the pundit class. Joy Reid has been in a complete tailspin since the debate, and here she shows her straw-grasping desperation.
With eye-rolling hilarity, last night we saw Joe Biden state that he would only step down as a result of a medical emergency, and then only a few hours later came the announcement that he had contracted COVID (for at least the third time). Joy Reid, in trying to grapple with this latest debacle, tries to spin this as a glorious moment for Biden.
Joy Reid and Jen Psaki just claimed that Biden having COVID is “exactly the same” as Trump surviving an assassination attempt and should be lauded the same way.
