DNC PR Firm – ABC NEWS
If there was any more projection from Jon Karl, he would need to open a drive-in theater.
First off, Jonathan Karl has a new book about Donald Trump and what a danger he poses to this country. We have also been hearing this from many others in the press, as well as the Biden administration. It has been in recent weeks incessant, constant, and reaching the point of becoming white noise in the background. While for years we have been told Trump – like accusations concerning most any Republican – is basically a Nazi, the reports linking him to Hitler have reached questionably unhealthy levels.
Honestly, you half expect to hear news coverage begin thusly: "Donald Trump, the Nazi who LOVES Adolph Hitler, spoke at a state fair this Thursday…" It has become pathological.
Which is why it appears as nothing short of hilarious to see Mr. Karl, who has fed this line as much as anyone else, declaring that it is Donald Trump who fosters an obsession.

Trump's denial in Iowa this week that he had read "Mein Kampf" was not the first time he has denied reading Hitler -- or the first time there was reason for him to issue such a denial.

Presentation Paradox – CNN
Does Jake realize this means he is reporting on misinformation from a discredited source?!
At first blush, you want to applaud Jake Tapper for covering the mounting plagiarism scandal involving Harvard President Claudine Gay. He was mostly straightforward and even acknowledged there appears to be a double standard since students would be removed from the campus if they were caught lifting content in the manner the president of the school has been exposed as having done repeatedly.
But you also get the sense Jake was pulled into reporting on this against his will because he had to note that this story derived from unsavory, "right-wing" sources. He even described them as "enemies" of Claudine Gay, implying their reporting on her thought crimes was invalid.
Except here he is reporting on the very evidence found. This would mean the evidence appears valid, Jake, and therefore, the sources of the story are also valid. No need for your commentary about the quality of the sources for the material.

News Avoidance Syndrome – NBC NEWS
Similar to Jake Tapper's approach – but far worse – is the reliable Ben Collins, who looks over the entire Claudine Gay scenario and essentially says: "I don't wanna cover it because I don't like who found it!" Primarily, he is fostering contempt for Chris Rufo, who sparked much of the current reaction to Gay's compromised works.
But this means that the supposed master of the "dystopian beat" (his own description for his brand of fact-checking) is refuting the evidence by saying he does not see any proof, a condition arrived at by his abject refusal to look into the matter of the growing evidence of Gay's plagiarism.

Gilded Reframe – VOX
At Vox, the desperate denialism from the "explainers" sees them on the verge of pulling a ligament with this level of contortion. It is evident to most that the growing wave of antisemitism is welling up because of the refusal to be critical of an oppressed group, and on college campuses, the calls for violence against Jews are being tolerated as a result of too much focus on equity.
In a case of wanting to distract away from all of the hate-filled intolerance spilling over from the left, Vox tries pointing in the other direction, by accusing those on the right of "weaponizing antisemitism." It is difficult to measure if this is asinine, or dangerous behavior from these simple minds.

Pounce of Prevention – NEWSWEEK
Those damned deplorables with their standards of decency!
In yet another example of media denial, but on a different topic, Newsweek weighs in on the story of a trans activist who has been charged with a series of disgusting crimes. The man has been accused of grooming and raping two underage victims in a disgusting case. However, we are not supposed to focus on that story because the real issue is that a group of people have noticed this news story!

Reporting on the Mirror – TALK TV
Evisceration is such a strong word; it is also completely fitting for this segment.
It is not often we say that a video clip is something you MUST see, but this is certainly the case with this exchange (more of a monologue, really). On Piers Morgan's chat show, he hosted the blowhard from "The Young Turks," Cenk Uygur, and British journalist Douglas Murray to discuss the Israeli-Hamas war.
In predictable fashion, Uygur was full of contempt and criticism for Israel, with zero objectivity on the entire conflict and he resorted to spouting out boilerplate accusations. Murray was having none of it, and he not only dissected Cenk's shot glass-shallow talking points, but he exposed his lacking intellect and utterly destroyed the stature of the so-called pundit.
This was an annihilation of a character, and credit to Morgan for not stepping in to save his guest. Uygur was left in a smoldering pile.
