We Removed Our Post On Facebook

Yesterday we posted a photo on the Townhall Facebook page featuring a quote from Marine Corps Veteran Al Baldasaro.

"You're all focused on the way he's [Trump] raising money and you're [mainstream media] not looking at the 22 veterans that are killing each other every day. You're not concerned about the thousands of veterans that are on wait lists...I think the liberal media, and I've been dealing with you for a long time, need to get your head out of your butt and focus on the real issues," Baldasaro said during a press conference at Trump Tower.

We took the quote down because it is inaccurate. Twenty-two veterans per day are committing suicide, not killing each other. Further it was CNN, a mainstream media outlet, that broke the story about VA wait times two years ago. Since then, CNN reporters have been consistently covering the story and recently exposed VA suicide hotlines going unanswered.

We regret highlighting the inaccurate statement and it has been removed from the page.
