1. Based on her quote, I'm not convinced she's specifically talking about running for president in 2012 -- though everyone seems to think this is a "blunt" statement.

2.  More than a year ago, Palin bluntly told Chris Cillizza that she'd be interested in being VP.  Politicians are usually coy, but being direct seems to have paid-off for her in the past.  So maybe she is, at least, implying she will run...

3.  I think her long-term goal is to change the nation for the better.  As such, I don't think it's inappropriate to say that she plans on being involved in the future -- regardless of what happens on Tuesday...
