President Trump will give remarks from the Rose Garden Friday afternoon about the ongoing government shutdown.

The announcement comes just hours after the FAA confirmed flight delays at airports due to an inadequate number of air traffic controllers showing up for work.

On Thursday afternoon House Democrats left town without issuing any kind of negotiation to the White House and after voting against paying federal employees three times.
Yesterday President Trump said he is open to a number of options.
"We have a lot of alternatives. Honestly, we have, everybody, look, for the most part, people agree, when I say 'everybody,' I would say almost everybody agrees we have to have border security. We have to have a wall in order to have border security," Trump said. "We have a lot of alternatives. But we need border security."
