Clinton To Testify In Front of Benghazi Select Committee October 22

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify in front of the House Benghazi Select Committee on October 22 according to Chairman Trey Gowdy.

Clinton has said recently she's been willing to make an appearance in front of the Select Committee to answer questions, but will only do it once. The agreement on a date has been made after Clinton was forced by the FBI to turn over a personal email server used to send and receive government business and classified information during her time at the State Department.

"I wish she would have done this in March [turned over her server], we'd be further down the road," Gowdy said. "The ground rules are simple. You're [Clinton] going to stay there until all of the questions are asked and answered with respect to Benghazi. If she's going to insist that she's only coming once, I'm going to insist that once be fully constructed, which means she's going to be there for a while.”

"My focus is on the four murdered Americans in Benghazi. But before I can write the final definitive accounting of that, I have to make sure that the public record is complete,” Gowdy continued.

Clinton's testimony will come at a tumultuous time for the Democrat presidential candidate as the FBI and the prosecutor who took down General David Petraeus continue to investigate her mishandling of at least 60 pieces of classified information on a private email server.
