Maricopa County Sheriff Arpaio calls this month long operation a major success. Deputies seized drugs, guns and arrested hundreds of illegal immigrants.
On Thursday afternoon, Arpaio's office showed off some of what they found during Operation Desert Sky.
Deputies displayed huge bails of marijuana wrapped in plastic. They discovered more than 7,000 pounds worth of drugs.
Deputies arrested close to 300 people, most suspected of being in the country illegally.
The operation featured Sheriff's posse members flying in small planes searching for smugglers in rural Maricopa County.
The air support helped deputies make some significant busts.
